To be honest, I really feel that writing this bio is pointless for the most part, except that this wouldn't really be a fan site without one. Why should I do this when some guy at michellebranch.com and Michelle herself can write a better one? I don't know anything about her except for what I read, and all her other fans read it too.

Well, here's what I know, and if you're a Michelle fan, you should know this too. If you're new to the scene, that's great! At least I know SOME people are benefiting from this.

This dream changed when Michelle won tickets to a New Kids on the Block concert. Seeing the way their music affected people was what inspired Michelle to be a pop star. At eight years old, her parents enrolled her into North Arizona University for private voice lessons.

At 11, Michelle and her family moved to Sedona, but this didn't stop her from pursuing a career in the arts. She continued her voice lessons, this time with instructor Gina Bettum, and got her first guitar when she was 14.

It was in high school Michelle met her best friend and fellow musician Jenifer Hagio. However, high school proved to be of lesser importance when it came to Michelle's musical career. At the age of 15 Michelle left high school and started being home-schooled.

Michelle's determination was shown when she and her younger sister drove to a resort in a golf cart, with the intent of giving Jeff Rabhan, who would be Michelle's future manager, a demo tape and a photo. It wasn't until Michelle had lost all hope that he would call her back.

Now, Michelle works with Jeff under Maverick Records, and has since released one album, The Spirit Room. Michelle previously released an independent album, Broken Bracelet, which features acoustic versions of four songs on The Spirit Room.

For me, When I am 10 years old I already idolized Michelle Branch. My age now is 12 years old. Michelle Branch is famous now, but even if she is famous she dont forget her family and fans. I love Michelle Branch songs! She is now performing her new album "Goodbye To You" .

Michelle was writing songs that could revive even Barry Manilow's career (I know we promised never to use his name again). Talented, teenage songwriters and instrument players are a rarity nowadays. She puts back our faith back in the fact that true artists will always have a place on the charts.

Her album The Spirit Room went platinum, and her singles "Everywhere" and "All You Wanted" were Billboard Top 20 hits. She is also known for her folksy pop sound that takes advantage of her considerable guitar skills.

Michelle Branch was born July 2, 1983, in Flagstaff, Arizona, before moving to Sedona. Although Michelle didn't hail from a musical family -- her father is a former plumbing contractor and her mother a restaurant manager -- she claims that music has always been in her blood. The Beatles and other such classic tunes always resonated in the house, which may have contributed to her musical style today.

Michelle's musical aspiration stems from an early age, but she wanted to be in musicals -- Cats specifically -- and she was always inspired by movies such as The Sound of Music and Oklahoma. Her change of heart came about after a concert-going experience, which she describes as life changing. She attended a New Kids on the Block concert after having won tickets to the show, and seeing how their music touched the thousands of fans in the audience inspired her to be a musician rather than a Broadway star.
